fun summer days

I did so much hair this summer. Between friends, family, and summer clients, with my current clients, I was so busy. It was nice to work from home with Kapri and not have to go somewhere to make GOOD money:) But with all the hair going on Kapri wanted to join in the fun as well. She had MANY hair cuts and trims... styles, and washes.. and she even got her very first color! I put a bright pink hair extensions on the underside of

her hair. Also in these pictures

We had so much fun in Teton Valley this summer... We loved the sun and the weather and all the event going on.. there was Music on Main every thursday night for the entire summer. We would ride our bikes or walk down and enjoy the food and music and cool mountain summer air. It really was like a lil fairy tale. There was farmers markets, relay races, pool time, golfing and SOFTBALL! Thats right, momma played summer softball and had a blast. Some crazy injuries put me out for a few tournaments, but it was sure worth it.

Kapri turned 2 in August! But this is how far behind i am... We got her a TrAMpoline for her bday and she loves it more than ANythInG:o) 

We had family come up for the day and had cake and presents. She was so excited to blow out her candles and feed her baby dolls "crinkles" sprinkles! we love her more than ever and she is the cutest 2 year old we know!

Bear Lake

Before we headed home from Dustin's bike race, we stopped at the lake for some fun in the sun/sand! The cold water didn't keep Kapri's feet out...

Daddy's new ride!

Dustin has a new hobby/sport! He has taken on road biking. This weekend at Bear Lake Ut was his first race.. and to say the LEAST, we are so proud of him! He beat his personal best time and wanted to see where he falls in comparison to the rest of the riders! He is amazing and is determined to train and get his legs in "biker shape" before the end of the year. Love you Dustin and we are glad that you have some fun time for yourself now. For as hard as you work, and for as much as you do for our family, I hope you enjoy the open road to yourself in your down time!

The Ironman tri was sooo inspiring! Dad finished top 5 in his age  group and came smoking out of the water. I knew he would swim it in his best time and come out of the water in 1hr 30min, so I started to look at everyones face as they got out. Well about 1hr. 35min. We saw him, screamed our lungs out, and cheered and took pictures.. Then he took off his swim cap and was BALD! That wasnt DAD..... but he must have past us during the wild chanting for some odd man, because that was his time too!  Oh well as we look back on the pictures we'll have to pretend that was him lol!

Dustin has his FIRST bike race in Bear Lake Ut. in May! We are soo excited to go and experience this for ourselves now! I can't wait to cheer him on and watch my husband push himself to finish. We didn't know each other during high school or collage sports and competitions, so this will be fun for me to cheer him on with his Daughter! 

Also the end of May is my first Tri! I can't wait to get out there and see what I am made of as well. I can only do my  best! My sister made a joke at Ironman, but Im sure it's true.... she said, " don't you think that God is looking down and smiling at these ironmen, and thinking THAT is EXACTLY what I made your bodies for!" It was nice to see, there were no smoking crowds or beer tents, just clean, rock hard bodies!! I loved it so much I am taking part! So watch out Ironman 2011, Ill be ready!
