Brought a gun?

So I have this new passion in life, its snowshoeing! I just started so I have been taking the easier groomed trail just around my house. Well my visiting teacher keeps asking me to come along with the group that she goes with. I feel bad that I kept blowing her off, knowing that I probably couldn't keep up with this expert crowd, that I finally agreed to go with them today! Now they said that they take their kids, in backpacks, or sleds/taboggins, so Im thinking it would be easier.....

We climbed uphill for three miles, at a fast stinking pace! There was this one lady who brought a gun, because they saw a pack of WOLVES last time. And I was the ONLY one without ski poles. Plus, I had put Kapri in the sled with another little boy, so I helped push the sled up the hills. Well resistance plus pushing up hill makes for one great work out! Well you know that feeling you get when you work out so hard that your lungs start burning and you can't stop coughing... well I was at this point at the top of the hill. Not done yet, this is where they all decide to RACE is at the top! Okay, now I have to fall down to sit down, because my legs are so shot. But to say the least, it was great to get out with the girls, and talk when I could catch my breath :) And the beautiful valley that we looked over was breath taking, to say the least. 

So just when I'm thinking that I can finally keep up with the big guns, I got a huge piece of humble pie. At least it will keeping me working at something to become better at. These women are crazy....

I Love You Daddy

There are no words sweeter than when a little one, by her own free will tells her daddy before bed, "I LOVE YOU DADDY." My heart swelled so big that night, I couldn't help but cry. It just rocks me to the core, when your child looks at her dad, and your husband, with the same loving eyes as you do. Her perfect pronunciation made it even more recognizable. I think she is falling in love with her daddy!

The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along.

This is a beautiful quote! When I read this today, I fell in love with my husband all over AGAIN.

Christmas Waddle

Kapri picks up on things very quickly! 

I taught her that penguins go "waddle waddle". She would hold her arm down to the side and mimic the motion! Well with all of the holidays and gatherings, she must have lost her mind. Because on night, after dinner, she went to the fridge and kept crying "waddle waddle". Well finally i made her point, because i could not figure it out. She pointed right to the Jello and said "waddle waddle"! She is the funniest....

Kapri

As crazy as things have been this last little while, I am actually enjoying this time. Every phase that Kapri goes through, i keep thinking, this is the funnest. But at the same time, my heart breaks because she is moving further and further away from being a baby. She is so independent these days, don't bother helping her. Along with that comes all the mess though. She talks in two to three word phrases or sentences now, and it surprises me every day. The best laugh i had the other day (the day she turned 17 months) she held up her finger and told me to wait! She then proceeded to walk away from me and pretend to ignore me! She repeated it several times then finally came over and gave me a hug! What a little sass.... I love it at the same time.
