Catch up with me!

Kapri had a few firsts this fall.. Now that she is potty trained I thought we'd better put the "big girl" bed together. She took to it very well. It also is so nice not having to drag myself out of bed to get her out, and i love listening for her quick little footsteps running down the hall in the morning. Then climbing into bed with mom and dad.

Kapri also had her first professional pedicure and manicure this fall. Daddy thought that while he was out hunting sooo soo much that he'd better treat the girls. She acted so big and held so still while her toes and fingers dried. I loved it just as much as she did:)

Happy Birthday to Me!

I woke up to Kapri telling my Happy Birthday Momma! It was the sweetest thing EVER. If someone asked me when i was younger where i thouht i would be at 25. I don't think that i would have responded " In Victor Id married with a 2.5 year old" But here I am and I love, love life! I also never thought i would be begging dustin for a hot new pair of snow pants to snowshoe in and and awsome pair of gloves! BUt yes these are the things that i covet these days :) After all was said and done.. (going to moms too in slc) it by far was the BEST birthday... Thanks to daddy, kapri, and a few special friends!

Young Women in Excellence

My Dear Friend Liz Dalley found this song from the 2006 archives and is using this as her theme song for our upcoming Young WOmen in Excellence Evening! It sends such a beautiful message to our youth. And Im soo lucky to be serving with such great leaders who are on top of how the world is these days and know how to stand with faith.

Potty Treats and Stickers

Kapri is now potty trained! Hallelujia:) I was not ready as the parent to embark on this task with a new 2 year old. But... Kapri fell into all catagories of being ready. So I waited for a long weekend, where I had no plans and no where to go. Plus daddy was off hunting. I made a potty chart, went and got stickers, potty treats, new toilet, a potty doll, training diapers, and panties! Set the timer for every 20 minutes, and gave Kapri plenty of liquids. Worked like a CHARM. No accidents after the end of week one. And now we are onto staying dry through the entire night. Then we can skip pull ups all together.
Its so hard to see your lil one grow up.. Especially as fast as Kapri has. She hit her milestones soooo early at all stages and I feel like I want to stop the clock. She is the light of my life and can't wait to see her turn into a little girl, and not just as a toddler.  Good job on your growing up and potty training Kapri!
