Bear Lake

Before we headed home from Dustin's bike race, we stopped at the lake for some fun in the sun/sand! The cold water didn't keep Kapri's feet out...

Daddy's new ride!

Dustin has a new hobby/sport! He has taken on road biking. This weekend at Bear Lake Ut was his first race.. and to say the LEAST, we are so proud of him! He beat his personal best time and wanted to see where he falls in comparison to the rest of the riders! He is amazing and is determined to train and get his legs in "biker shape" before the end of the year. Love you Dustin and we are glad that you have some fun time for yourself now. For as hard as you work, and for as much as you do for our family, I hope you enjoy the open road to yourself in your down time!

iTri

The swim transition phase
sitting on the beach waiting for athletes to get in water!
Kiak that paddle along side of swimmers
Dad's finish! Top 5 in age group just under 12hrs.

The Ironman tri was sooo inspiring! Dad finished top 5 in his age  group and came smoking out of the water. I knew he would swim it in his best time and come out of the water in 1hr 30min, so I started to look at everyones face as they got out. Well about 1hr. 35min. We saw him, screamed our lungs out, and cheered and took pictures.. Then he took off his swim cap and was BALD! That wasnt DAD..... but he must have past us during the wild chanting for some odd man, because that was his time too!  Oh well as we look back on the pictures we'll have to pretend that was him lol!

Dustin has his FIRST bike race in Bear Lake Ut. in May! We are soo excited to go and experience this for ourselves now! I can't wait to cheer him on and watch my husband push himself to finish. We didn't know each other during high school or collage sports and competitions, so this will be fun for me to cheer him on with his Daughter!

Also the end of May is my first Tri! I can't wait to get out there and see what I am made of as well. I can only do my  best! My sister made a joke at Ironman, but Im sure it's true.... she said, " don't you think that God is looking down and smiling at these ironmen, and thinking THAT is EXACTLY what I made your bodies for!" It was nice to see, there were no smoking crowds or beer tents, just clean, rock hard bodies!! I loved it so much I am taking part! So watch out Ironman 2011, Ill be ready!

Proof of the CHaos!

Proof that she is a perfect mix between her mom and her dad!
Proof that my little on is getting older and it terrifies me!
Proof that Kapri has "cabin fever" and is ready for the warm sun...
Proof that there has been snow on the ground for 7 months and its spring now!
Proof that I am still married to this man, despite the Chaos! xoxo
Cousins in and out, lots of company, and Proof that we had TONS of fun with them!
Proof that Kapri is my crazy kid always looking for a laugh

Proof that you can never turn your back on a toddler, not even for a second! Also that Desitin does not come off with just water!

My IronDad!

My Ironman Dad will be going out for Ironman 2010 on May 1st! We are so excited that this year they chose to host in ST. George UT. It is normally in Hawaii so we never had the chance to go watch him before! He is the MOST inspirational person in my life and I love to watch his drive when he races. It honestly is almost spiritual.. to watch a man be so driven to finish the hardest tasks in life. He truly is my iron DAD! Go dad we will be there to cheer you on..:)

the bears are out

The bears came out of hybernation! My mom and I went last week for the last time with a group that I always go with. As we were trekking along, we noticed hoof prints and blood! Then we noticed the biggest print I have ever seen in my life along side the hoof prints! They were very very fresh print, it was snowing that day and prints wouldn't last long in the snow. So we all decided it would be safest to head back down the hill, and we all had kids on our backs. Later that week, one of the gals went back up with her family and came across a 8ft. Grizzly BEAR!!! It was relocated to that area and all I kept thinking about was thank goodness we were not its lunch the other morning! Creepy! So RIP snowshoe season.. You kept my butt in great shape, and taught me more strenght then I knew I even had. You bonded Kapri and I through trail after trail, and most of all got me out into the beautiful wilderness of the Tetons, that we call home! So long till snow falls again!

with love!

We have lots of new babies in our family this past year and more to come! I thought Kapri would be super jealous of them, being around or me holding them. But quite the opposite! She loves her new cousins.. she holds them.. talks in a high pitched voice to them.. tells me when they are cold.. pats there belly and back.. and kisses and caresses their faces! It's so sweet to see her take on the older child role and take care of something so precious. Yes this does have me contemplating having more children soon for her sake :) She really does have that nurturing side to her after all! Behind those mean toddler eyes it was hard to tell.
